How does investing in funds work?

  • Open a current or an investment account, and then open and connect the securities account . They can be opened via Internet Bank free of charge

How to invest in funds?

  1. Open the necessary accounts
  • Open a current or investment account.
  • Then open and link a securities account.
  • Accounts can be opened for free in the internet bank.
  1. Choose the funds to invest in
  • Consider whether you want to invest in traditional funds, strategy funds, or use both solutions.
  • In the internet bank, go to Investments > Funds and complete the transaction order form.
     
  1. It is recommended to set up regular payments
  • To make your investments more consistent over the long term, it is advisable to set up regular contributions to the fund. This helps smooth out value fluctuations.

1 Regular payment orders or operations in Internet bank are possible only for those funds that are publicly distributed by SEB and indicated in SEB bank's home page.

2 Commission is calculated according to the market value of securities or face value at the end of the day, and it is set in the equivalent of EUR according to the currency exchange accounting rates set by the European Central Bank (or if necessary by the rates of the respective national central bank.

3 The maximum allowed subscription fee is indicated in prospectus regulating SEB mutual funds. In cases when maximum allowed subscription fee indicated in the prospectus exceeds the fee indicated in the pricelist, the smallest fee will be applied.

4 Subscription orders are not available.

5 Commission is calculated according to the market value of securities or face value at the end of the month, and it is set in the equivalent of EUR according to the currency exchange accounting rates set by the European Central Bank (or if necessary by the rates of the respective national central bank).

You need a securities account to invest

To carry out securities transactions, you need to open a securities account.

When using our simplified investment solutions – RoboAdvisor or Microinvestments – SEB will open special portfolio investment and securities accounts on your behalf.

  • Transfer to or receive securities from third parties, i.e., to or from other individuals or companies
  • An opportunity to buy and sell independently by using the Internet Bank
  • No fees for opening or closing the securities account
