On 19 December 2025, SEB will terminate all financial services in Bulgarian lev (BGN)
On 1 January 2026, Bulgaria will join the eurozone. A fixed conversion rate of 1.95583 lev per euro has been set. Therefore, SEB will terminate all financial services in Bulgarian lev from 3 pm (EET) on 19 December 2025.
To ensure that all payments and other financial operations in Bulgarian lev are processed on time, we kindly ask customers to make them no later than by 3 pm (EET) on 19 December.
On 29 December, SEB will convert all outstanding balances in Bulgarian lev on customers accounts to euro at a rate mentioned above.
Customers don’t need to take any actions regarding this change.
