I am a Team Manager at KYC Reviews and have been at SEB for 16 years. I am a people person who enjoys new automation tools with unshakable optimism that everything can change. I am inspiring people to develop and think ‘outside the box’.

Anete, your journey at SEB started more than 16 years ago – back in 2006. It must have been an exciting ride. Can you tell us about it more?
I started at SEB Latvia in the Call Centre and continued my career at SEB Private Banking. It was a great experience to get to know clients, support them, understand how the bank works. In 2008 I joined SEB GSR Riga where we transferred processes from Sweden to Riga. After a few years I started to work in the Process Team, where we were improving efficiency and implementing different tools to boost productivity. It’s a great opportunity to be a part of such a big company, where you have the opportunity to work with innovations and implement them in the banking area, analyse the results and celebrate together with the team. This is a team effort! For the last 8 years I have been working as a Team Manager, and during these years I have had the wonderful opportunity to move between different divisions, implement the best practices, learn about new areas and business specifics.
Are there any takeaways that you have learned from your journey so far?
SEB is a great workplace. You can develop in different positions, take on more responsibilities. If you want to learn, follow new market practices, work with innovative tools, be a part of an international organization, and be a part of world-class service delivery, then this is the right place.
How does your daily life look like now? What are your main tasks?
As the team manager I need to drive business in my area of responsibilities. I need to make sure that our customers are satisfied, and employees are engaged.
Positive employee experience spreads outward, people wish to be a part of a successful team and add value for the customers in their journey.
My daily tasks include driving business, following up on the progress, making sure that the process is done in good quality, leading changes, cooperating with our colleagues from SEB sites in other countries.
One of the benefits we at SEB are proud of are the opportunities for internal mobility. Would you agree with this statement?
Absolutely! 100%! Within SEB you can develop and learn new business areas and change positions. Some of our colleagues decided to move to another country and they are continuing to work within SEB.

As you have changed your position within SEB several times, how do you find the internal recruitment process?
I appreciate that here at SEB we have equal opportunities for everyone. Internal and external recruitment processes are held in a professional manner, and you always receive feedback.
If you had a chance to experience the entire SEB journey once again, would there be anything you would like to change, and why?
All the experience that I have had has been amazing. Of course, there were different situations, ups and downs. Sometimes when you do not know how to solve a situation, you can always rely on your team who will support you and together everything is possible. It is a dynamic environment and sometimes you may think that you don’t have enough time for all the activities, but the truth is- the more you do, the more you accomplish.
How do you recharge yourself before the next day? What are your hobbies and favourite activities after work?
I recharge my mind and energy level with sport activities. I enjoy playing tennis. This is the sport where I get energy and always feel the competitive spirit.
