In the first year we received the Silver Category, then we got Gold for six years, but since 2017, for the third year in a row, by our business activities we have proven our right to the highest – Platinum – rating. This 9-year experience of participation in the Sustainability Index shows that sustainability is not only about concern of nature, but also society, its values and attitudes that have long-term effects on our country's growth, residents' well-being and a clean environment. We at SEB bank greatly benefit from the fact that we are an international company with shareholders, who consider business sustainability one of the most important business principles. We are pleased that we have the opportunity to bring these values and basic principles to Latvia and hope that the Latvian government, legislators and executive will increasingly focus on international business ethics and governance mechanisms, and we will be able to create strong state and municipal companies, and the entrepreneurs will continue to improve their principles of business ethics, to benefit our country, people and future generations," says Ieva Tetere, CEO of SEB bank.
