Life insurance anticipates the payout of insurance compensation in case of death of an employee. SEB life insurance agreement can be amended with accident insurance that in addition stipulates a compensation for traumas caused by an accident, bone breakage, physical inability to work as well as treatment in a hospital.

How much does one insurance policy cost? (example)


Employee, 40 years old

Covers:

  • Life insurance – 1500 EUR;
  • Death as a result of an accident – 1500 EUR;
  • Disability as a result of an accident – 1500 EUR;
  • Injuries and bone fractures – 1500 EUR.

 

Price: EUR 10.22 per year

The amount of the premium is determined on an individual basis.

Life insurance (without capital accumulation) provides financial security for company employees and their families, by anticipating paying out compensation in case of death of an employee. It provides an additional security for a family in case of a loss family member, proving for the family, but for a company – it is a chance to transfer the risk of unplanned expenses to the insurer.

Agreement Term
 

Minimum term – 1 year

Premium Payments
 

Regular, can not be terminated. The amount of the premium depends on person's age, amount of insurance and number of employees in the company.

Compensation Payout
 

To the beneficiary – in case of death of the insured employee.*

* Exceptions for paying out compensation: employee suicide during the first two years of insurance, professional military personnel work at a war zone.

Accident insurance anticipates compensation for employee for various accidental injuries, bone fractures, permanent or temporary inability to work, hospital expenses, as well as compensation for family members, if as a result of an accident employee has passed away. Accident insurance is available only in a package with life insurance.

Agreement Term
 

Minimum term – 1 year. Accident insurance term always coincides with life insurance term.

Premium Payments
 

Regular, can not be terminated. The amount of premium depends on person's sex, age, amount of insurance and number of employees in the company.

Compensation Payout
 

For employees – if injury has happened as a result of an accident, bone fracture, disability or permanent or temporary inability to work or a necessity for hospital treatment has occurred,

For beneficiary – in case of death of the insured employee, caused by an accident.

 

When choosing life insurance (without capital accumulation) and accident insurance for its employees, the company can qualify for tax incentives, anticipated by the state.

In accordance with the regulations in effect, the company does not have to pay inhabitant income tax and social tax for life insurance without capital accumulation (including accident insurance and health insurance) that does not exceed 10 % of employee gross compensation, but not more than EUR 426.86 per year. Besides the company has an option to conclude an agreement for as short as one year.

  • Company can choose to insure all or select company employees.
  • Employer can choose when to make regular SEB life insurance premium payments for its employees – once per month, quarter, 6 months or year.
