Starting from 1 July 2020, only cashless payment services will be offered at the branches of SEB banka at Rezekne, Liepaja, Talsi, Valmiera and Daugavpils

Owing to the growing choice of customers to engage in non-cash transactions, starting from 1 July 2020, the employees of the branches of SEB banka at Rezekne, Liepaja, Talsi, Valmiera and Daugavpils branch will not be able to carry out cash transactions. Our specialists will continue to advise customers on various banking services and help with paperwork. However, we encourage you to carry out cash transactions using cash depositing - withdrawal ATMs in the future. Whereas for companies, using cash collection services may be useful in cases where cash amounts are large and using ATMs for cash depositing does not seem an appropriate option.

The pace of technological development brings adjustments to many of our habits. One of the most conspicuous trends is a gradual replacement of cash transactions with much more effective and practical alternatives, i.e., online bank money transfers and card payments.

If previously people used to visit their bank branch, now using Internet bank saves both time as well as the commission fees charged for each cash transaction. In addition, visiting a bank to deposit cash in the business account is no longer necessary. This can be done at a convenient time and place using a cash depositing/withdrawal ATM. Currently, SEB banka has 90 ATMs in Latvia, and companies increasingly use this option.

The list of SEB’s ATMs is available on the website seb.lv/eng/atm. You can also use a payment card issued by SEB banka to withdraw money from the ATMs of the network of the friendly ATMs, which includes the ATMs of SEB banka and Swedbank.

Conversely, cash collection services will be great for more convenient management form managing the company’s finances for businesses, in cases where cash amounts are large or depositing cash using an ATM does not seem appropriate for practical reasons. It is also an appropriate option for retail companies that need replenishing petty cash regularly. Some of SEB banka’s customers - legal entities – have already been using cash collection services because of convenience, i.e., the employee of the company would not have to carry along the cash as cash collectors would come to the company themselves, saving entrepreneurs the precious time without affecting the company’s business processes. In addition, it is one of the safest ways for the company to get cash in its business account.

Customers may apply for cash collection services via Internet bank or at a branch of SEB Bank.
