Secure Work on the Internet

When using services offered on the Internet, we advice you to follow the following recommendations:


  • Do not disclose your user ID, password and other identifying or financial information to unauthorized persons. Keep your Ibanka authorization tools: Code card and Digipass in a safe place.
  • Do not change your password and make sure nobody is observing you, when using the Ibanka in a public place (e.g. an Internet café).
  • Do not select a password based on your name or that of your relatives or on personal data.
  • Choose a different password for every service provider.
  • Change the password, if you suspect that somebody has gained access of it.
  • Do not send identifying data by e-mail. Do not respond to e-mails, pretending to be sent by the bank and asking you for your ID data (user ID, passwords, access codes, PIN codes, passport details) or other personal information.
  • Before you start working with the Ibanka, verify the security of the established connection by clicking on a padlock icon  and verifying the page certificate.
  • Always exit the Ibanka by clicking on the "Log out" button.
  • When making purchases on the Internet, select only trustworthy enterprises.
  • Make sure that your computer is protected with antivirus programs.
  • If you suspect that your identification data have fallen in the hands of unauthorized persons, please, get in touch with SEB banka or your computer system specialist.
