Cheque Transactions
Cheques may be used both as a means of payment for goods and services and for receiving cash.
SEB banka performs the following:
- cheque cashing;
- acceptance of cheques with deferred payment;

Purchasing Bank Cheques
The bank cheque is a written order by SEB banka to its correspondent bank to disburse a specified amount to the person named on the cheque.
Bank cheques may be used for sending funds and for payments for goods and services with private individuals or companies both in Latvia and abroad.
Bank cheques may be used conveniently in the following cases:
- the payer does not know the bank details of the beneficiary of the payment;
- the amount of the payment is small and the transfer fee is greater than the cost of the cheque;
- if the client's partner wishes to receive payment in the form of a cheque.
You may acquire bank cheques by paying for them from your SEB banka account.
Cheques at SEB banka may be purchased in the following currencies:
USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, CHF, DKK, EEK, HKD, JPY, LTL, LVL, NOK, PLN, SEK.
