21 september 2005

SEB Latvijas Unibanka received the prize "Euro Three Years STP* Excellence Award 2004" awarded by "Deutsche Bank" for the outstanding quality of international payments over the period of three years. The major bank of Germany grants this award to the chosen bank every year.

Vice President of SEB Unibanka Inese Blekte: "This award, which is granted to cooperation partners after assessing their outgoing payment quality, attests the high qualification of our banking specialists and the high quality of technologies, which provides straight through processing of payments. Thus execution of payments does not require corrections, which would otherwise reduce the speed of the operation and would add up to expenses. As the award has been granted for the excellent quality of payments over the recent three years, we can be proud that we have been able to ensure steadily high quality standards."

Of all SEB Unibanka currency payments the ratio of euro payments in the payment structure is 67%, of which 95% are straight through processed. In the straight through processing the greatest role is played by the particulars of the payee, indicated by the customer, therefore SEB Unibanka reminds that in payments to the Economic Zone of Europe the customer should indicate SWIFT codes of the receiving banks and IBAN account numbers of the beneficiaries.
